Collecting natural tinder
Todays invitation is to search for some nice dry natural tinder- always a great winter challenge! On your walk look out for airdried stems and fluffed up seed heads. make sure you do a good dry out when you get home- stuff everything into a pillowcase and pop it on the radiator- we'll have ago at firelighting on friday. The connection comes through the search- by noticing where things are growing- or resting and which plant they are, and doing some wondering....
what did they look like when they were in bloom?
who do they grow next to?
how long have they been air drying?
will they hold a spark?
This is what I found- what did you collect?
